Hands down BEST BREAKER IN THE BUSINESS

They have one good breaker and one guy with the most annoying voice who knows absolutely nothing about cards or even sports. It almost seems condescending how he will be like “Oh wow, what a great hit for XXX” when it’s a base card…but then you realize he just doesnt know anything about cards.

Outside of that these guys are ripping people off so much. They do single boxes so it appears cheap per spot, but if you do the math they have the BIGGEST markups on every product. I wish people would just do the math and stop buying in so they adjust their prices.

On top of that they put together their own products known as strike3. This is such a scam – I watched videos of entire products and they never put valuable cards in. The product will be $300 total (30 teams at $10) and then 1 card will be worth $90. I watched over 40 videos of one product and not a single card was even close to $300. The most valuable was $190 and the average was $110. That is just taking advantage of people. If you’re going to buy into buyback products avoid theirs like the plague – buy into something reputable like super break – at least they put a sell sheet together and show you some of the good cards that are in the product. If a company doesnt (like strike3) then stay as far away as possible.

They seem like a bunch of nice guys. They are very professional. The prices are high though. They mainly specialize in 1 or 2 box breaks, so if your looking for full case Breaks this is not the place for you.

My break with them was about as disappoint as the shipping time, Paid on July 9th, package did not ship out until the 15th. Breaker is very slow to break and respond to chat, ignores chat allot. Price was kinda steep but they were the only ones I had found with that product.

I wish I could give 0 Stars for the Shipping Time.

USPS actually delivered reasonable quick, its just the amount of time the breaker took to actually mail my item.

Also the packaging was just the actual pack the item came in only taped on one side, anyone could have gone through it.

I have had the opportunity to break with Friendly for quite some time now and have come to understand their format much better. If you are not in the mood to be involved in a full case, OR lack the funds to buy spots in a full case, then Friendly Box breaks would be your best path.

Friendly typically breaks single boxes at a time, with an occasional case every week or so. As a few people have mentioned, they may seem high on prices, which technically is correct if you were to equate it to a full case break. An example would be if they had the Athletics for $5 on a box break, in a 12 box case, that would mean the A’s would cost $60. In a full case break, the Athletics would be around $30. So can deduce by using simple math that their pricing structure is based on a single box. They do factor in full case break cost and sometimes works with pricing, but typically, you will see pricing elevated only if you were to factor into a case purchase. Be mindful though, the odds of receiving any hit in a single box is significantly lower than purchasing in a full case – this is a given – greater risk, but greater reward.

More often than not, sometimes, a single box break is considerably more affordable than purchasing an entire case and if that is what you choose, then these guys are it.

I’ve not ever had a problem shipping with them; in fact, shipping has been fairly fast.

They also carry most products, including Benchwarmers, which I found amusing.

The breakers are very nice guys, comprising of a 3 man team; Chris, John P. and AG – all very swell guys, very fair and easy to speak to.

I would certainly recommend these breakers if you’re a little bit on a budget – paying $18 for the Astros in Bowman in a single box might be easier to swallow than $170 in case.

I have been breaking with the guys for about two years. They are a great bunch of guys. They have 3 or 4 different breakers that all have their own style which makes it very fun for me. I read the below reviews about pricing and I agree at one time I thought they were a little high. This all changed for me when I saw that they mail out every SINGLE card from every box. No other breaker I know of, mails out all the base / inserts. One guy came in one night complaining to their breaker AG about the pricing and AG broke it down for him. He said that the average breaker makes about the same with case breaks as they they do with single boxes once you add in the extra cost of shipping and materials. I have also seen these guys give away tens of thousands of dollars of good quality memorabilia items several times. I was able to hang out with AG and Joe last year at the National, they are both super humble guys and gave my kids several cards and boxes. I have several buddies I have sent to over to them, that now break as well. I love the room and the community of guys they have in their room. The are very professional when they break and do not cuss at all. This is big for me because I enjoy watching the breaks with my kids. They are the best!!! 5 STARS!!

Big fan for Friendly Box Breaks and how stuff is done. But again just like other breakers. This room isn’t for everyone. I break with them from time to time so I know a decent amount of how things are in this room.

Price- Friendly Box Breaks prices are low and high at the same time. Yes the markup that everyone talks about is there ( not to the extent that some of the reviews say) but it is there. However…it is there because of the way they do their breaks. They don’t break cases…they break boxes. 1-2 sometimes 3 at a time. So they play low risk high reward with low odds due to the number of hits in a single box. They as a whole are making a pretty penny one the single box…but you as a consumer are still only paying minimum for a chance at max (but again at low odds because were talking boxes not cases). Because the prices stay low due to being a single box, they can increase the markup and no one would truly be affected if they don’t want to spend big money. Funny that people bash them for that considering that’s how the world and economics works ( see groceries….you’re paying more per single item then if you were to buy that same item in bulk… but let us boycott the buying of single bananas -_-) So yes if you’re willing to spend the money go buy a team like the As for $30, but if you can’t spend that and feel like dropping $5 for a small chance at a big hit then this is your room. For me 5/5 especially when I’m feeling cheap, but because of how it actually works 4/5.

Shipping- No different than anyone else. Great shipping fast and efficient. 5/5

Likability- There is no real reason to not like these people. They are calm laid back breakers that do what they got to do. They aren’t as sports involved as some breakers so that might be a turn off for some. Other than that they’re just some good people enjoying the hobby. 5/5

Variety- They tend to be a bit week on the variety. Since they do singles it takes awhile to get breaks moving because many would rather have cases and then onto the next. They do however love to move memorabilia breaks. So if that is what you’re into, definitely give these guys a try. I’d say 4/5 especially because of the memorabilia, but overall when it comes down to it gotta give them 3/5.

Entertainment- Like I said in their likability they’re laid back people who are fun to chat with and break with not too much but not too little either. 4/5

Other reviews- Obviously the pricing aspect is there, though many people seems to just complain about it instead of actually thinking a bit more. But the reviews are right when it comes to the mark up, though Friendly Box Breaks aren’t wrong in how they do it. Seems like the only real talks from the reviews.

Overall- They know what they are doing when it comes to the single boxes. They are working the prices like anything else out there when it comes to buying individual. They are awesome for people starting out who just want to get a quick feel for what it is like to break at a cheap price. Also if you want to get some physical hardware in the form of memorabilia. They are great for that. Though if you plan on breaking a lot…go for cases not for singles. Better odds better prices.

FBB certainly has one of the widest variety of breaks among the bigger names in the business. They open products in all four major sports as well multiple non-sport products. Great place for single or dual box breaks, as well as personals, but the pricing is outrageous. The breakers have good personalities, but some of the sincerity isn’t genuine. This is a good room for smaller, faster breaks. However, those more careful with their spending and those looking for bigger breaks should look elsewhere.

I personally like these guys. Sometimes a bit too much variety, way too many things filling at once, and everyone wanting the break they are in to be filled. Great shipping times. Very entertaining and knowledgeable staff here. No complaints.

As most people new to breaking people gravitate towards “FBB” (or Friendly Box Breaks) compared to any other room. But if you shop around you will notice they have the HIGHEST margins on everything and they only do single boxes and weak mixers. The only “good” thing about the room is they randomly do more material than anyone else (baseballs, helmets, jerseys..etc) so if you want to chase some high dollar memorabilia and nobody is breaking anything similar at the moment this might be your best and only shot. The room is fairly “PC” which is a plus or a minus but its not personal at all. When I first started breaking with them I probably spent $1000 in a span of two weeks and its like I was a nobody where most rooms will at least get you a mod when you are a newbie on your first purchase and ask you questions when it gets slow about what team(s) you like to collect and product(s) you like..etc you wont find that type of personalized customer service here. Shipping was fast but I think they have an actual department specific to sorting and shipping so it damn well should be at the prices they charge.

Good bunch of guys. Only knock is the price gouging. Other than that? Nothing but good experience(s) with them. Decent shipping time. Cards/jerseys have always arrived very well packaged.
