Sports Box Breaks was created by two guys: one, a sports card collector for twenty years, and the other a website development & marketing professional since the mid 90’s. They joined forces to create a business where both of them could not only utilize their expertise, but also be a part of something they both enjoyed. So SBB was born!
Jason has been collecting cards for over twenty years and brings his expertise to the company. He believes that in order to enjoy your job you must do something you love, and Jason LOVES breaking open new boxes and finding the hidden gems inside. “There is nothing like the smell of a fresh box break in the morning!”
Kevin has been developing websites and has been in the tech industry for nearly 20 years as well. Somewhat by accident, his love of websites and technology became a career at a very early time in the tech world. When most folks were just learning how to navigate the internet (probably on AOL dialup!), Kevin was already creating websites and administering Linux servers in the high-tech world of Silicon Valley.
Jason and Kevin have been personal friends for several years, and creating SBB just made perfect sense. We do hope you guys enjoy our breaks here at SBB, and never hesitate to reach out to either of us with any questions.
Happy Breaking!

These guys are the best, lowest prices in the market and fun and friendly breaks. Fast with shipping. Another great thing about these guys is if you go hitless they send you unopened packs of cards so you still have a chance of getting a hit. Best breakers by far – fun, friendly, fast, best value breaks in town! Keep up the great work guys!
Absolutely the best breakers on the Web. I have Never, not once had an issue with these gentlemen. Very professional , fair, and Honest. My three personal requirements. I have had some monster pulls over the years with these guys, most of which I did not see live! I still received personalized emails congratulating me. They always pick fairly in Hit Drafts and NEVER show favoritism , like some other breakers I have experienced. They will send you packs if you are hitless as well, not some picked thru stuff either. I have pulled no less than 20 autos and jerseys or patches out of these packs. One time even a Jim Rice coin , that was out of something like 2500 packs or so. 2 years Breaking with these guys and I don’t see that coming to a halt. Recommend Highly!!
These guys do a fantastic job! Fast, quality shipping (they ship EVERYTHING), low prices and exceptional customer service. Jay and Kevin are good guys and always have a variety of breaks on the site. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality site to break with!
I have only ever had great experiences with the lads at SBB. I believe they’re the best to deal with as pricing is great, returning discounts are appreciated and the lines they break are enjoyable to watch online. I live in Australia and I practically wait by the mailbox once a break has been done with anticipation. Shipping is extremely fast and so too are responses to enquiries.
I continue to be a returning customer and encourage anyone to get on the SBB bandwagon for ongoing fantastic breaks!
Great Guys!!
I would have to say Sports Box Breaks is one of the best breakers out there. They have the best prices and have deals the closer the break ends. During breaks, they are very friendly and their community is very helpful. Its always a fun time when going into their live breaks. Some factors for me that kept me staying with SportsBoxBreaks is that they ship all base cards, price is fair and most times cheap, customer service is very responsive and shipping is very fast. Another good thing is the variety of breaks they have, I mostly break for Basketball and Football and they have multiple types of boxes they break from mid to high range boxes. I love breaking with them and have made them my number 1 source for new breaks. Thank you guys!
Sports Box Breaks is a well run, very reliable sports breaker. Jason & Kevin are a pleasure to deal with. Their website is extremely well laid out and they offer a wide variety of breaks, filler deals and customer loyalty rewards. Their prices are very reasonable and always make sure you receive a fresh pack if you go hit less in one of their breaks. Overall, SBB is one of the best out there.
Sports Box Breaks are the best. It’s a smaller, two man crew group so you know exactly who you’re dealing with. Both guys are great and they keep things light and fun. But seriously people, these guys have some of the best prices around on their breaks and often offer coupons and have a rewards program for frequent breakers. They don’t have lots of promos and giveaways and other stuff to jack up the prices of the breaks like the other guys do, just straight forward, open and honest pricing. And if you’re like me and tend to go hitless, they send along a hobby pack to open for your troubles (And I have gotten hits from these, for what that’s worth.). They also always send all base and inserts for every break which is nice if you’re a team collector or if there’s a product with variants and other chase cards that aren’t apparent right away.
Bottom line is this: Why over pay from other breakers when you can get a fair price from fair people here? I know I no longer do.
They have great prices and Kevin and Jason are great to listen to and watch. These are your guys for a no-frill breaker that gives you a great deal.
Pros: good variety, if you stick to the big 3 of FB, BB, and BSK. Not much hockey. They ship quickly, and include all cards. Not including base is a bit of a pet peeve of mine, and that’s not a concern here. I have received extra stuff at times, whether I had hit in the break or not, which is a nice gesture.
Cons: it has been a while since I have broken with SBB, so things may be different as far as the time it can take to fill a break, as it had taken a while in the past. This is an issue that many breakers have, but I thought it was a glaring issue when I had bought into a product on release day, yet it still took several more days to fill and break.
Price. Another pet peeve of mine is when a breaker states that they have the best prices around, but you have done you’re homework and you know they’re not. SBB offers 10% off of most of their breaks, which for face value seems like a good thing. The reality is that their prices are average to significantly more expensive. I shop around for the best price, and that includes paying close attention to eBay as well. They have a large number of listings on eBay as BINs, with inflated prices, but without an OBO option. I do have a good timely example, 2016 Panini Unparalled releases this week, and they have my team for $57 + $3 shipping, on eBay, and $55 on their site. I just bought them for $40 total elsewhere, without any discount. That’s a 30% difference, before you even consider their 10% offer, not just a nominal $5, for which I wouldn’t even make this comment. In fairness I wouldn’t expect SBB to change their prices, rather not to make false claims in their marketing.
Ive been breaking with Sports Box Breaks for a number of years now. On the positive side, they always have a wide variety of products from the three major sports, baseball, football and basketball. If your interested in entertainment cards etc. they aren’t for you. The prices on team breaks varies greatly. You won’t normally get a “deal” on the most sought after teams. However, you can find bargains for the teams with less hits. Recently, they have introduced a loyalty program which is a major plus. Very simply, the more you spend during a month the higher your discount for the following month. The discount goes from 2.5%, 5%, 7.5%, 10% etc. This way you can get good teams at a more reasonable price. Sports Box Breaks has 2 breakers. Both seem like nice guys, but they won’t be winning any entertainment awards any time soon. Its a pretty vanilla atmosphere. I think this comes from the fact that they stick to the prices they list, for the most part. They will reduce the prices on occasion (getting better at this) , but there are no “spot” guys or auctions to fill a break. This comes to my only big issue with the site. They’ve been getting better, but it takes way too long to fill certain breaks. They always reiterate ” remember guys, all spots need to be filled before we can open the case”. Nobody has any idea when a break will actually happen. They schedule for a certain day, but if it doesn’t fill theres no break. Simply put, they’ll discount but at a certain point they won’t give an inch. I disagree with this approach. In a business like this volume is paramount, not that you got an extra 5 bucks for a team. Finally, the breakers knowledge of the sports and players is not good enough. You can’t be mispronouncing Hall of Fame players or Super Stars names. Its a put off to the customers. You’ve gotta know your stuff. Overall, Id recommend Sports Box Breaks if you break with them consistently. The value and professionalism is high.
