Let’s jump into the top performers for Day 2 (Saturday July 6th)

TOP 5 PERFORMERS

These are our rankings based on statistics, impact to the game, and our overall impression of the player. We obviously care most about how they look from a hobby perspective…so we are looking for players we believe are impactful enough to influence their hobby prices.

#5: HAMIDOU DIALLO | Oklahoma City Thunder

Opponent: Utah Jazz

Stat Line: 20 Points, 5 Reb, 3 Turnover

Years Pro: 2nd

Quick Reaction: His shooting wasn’t great (8/22 FG) but his ability to impose himself during the game was evident. Being a 2nd year player and now having MORE of an opportunity in OKC makes this week very important for Hamidou.

#4: CARSEN EDWARDS | Boston Celtics

Opponent: Philadelphia 76ers

Stat Line: 20 Points, 2 Reb, 0 Assist, 2 Turnover

Years Pro: ROOKIE

Quick Reaction: If you haven’t had the chance to watch Carsen play (i.e. @ Purdue) then you need to find time to watch the Celtics this week. Carsen is one of the more naturally gifted scorers in this years’ RC class. He can score every possible way…despite being sub 6′. Love his game!

Top Rookie Cards to own:

#3: YUTA WATANABE | Memphis Grizzlies

Opponent: Indiana Pacers

Stat Line:15 Points, 5 Reb, 3 Assist, 2 Turnover (+/0 = +36!!)

Years Pro: 2nd

Quick Reaction: This is an interesting one to me… He doesn’t strike me as a player who will be super impactful…but both times I’ve really watched him play, he’s just been consistently solid. Being a Japanese player might make this a very intriguing investment opportunity.

#2: AARON HOLIDAY | Indiana Pacers

Opponent: Memphis Grizzlies

Stat Line:24 Points, 2 Reb, 5 Assist, 2 Turnover — (4/8 3P)

Years Pro: 2nd

Quick Reaction: This was one of my Top 10 players to watch this summer…and he showed why against Memphis. Great athleticism with a playable jump-shot. Had a REALLY good opportunity with Indiana this year…lot to prove over the next 8 days.

#1: TROY BROWN JR | Washington Wizards

Opponent: New Orleans Pelicans

Stat Line: 18 Points, 15 Reb, 2 Assist, 4 Turnover — (15 REB…as a Shooting Guard!)

Years Pro: 2nd

Quick Reaction: Similar to Lonnie Walker yesterday, Troy Brown Jr was simply the best player on the court. And…it wasn’t close. He completely owned the floor and made the Troy Brown & Rui Hachimura combo MUST SEE TV the rest of the week!

WATCH OUT! ALERT!!

Holy Moly!! You want to see a player that came out of the gate with a bang?

DAVEONTAE CACOK | Los Angeles Lakers

He’s likely going to be blocked from making his way up to the LAKERS roster soon… but this is a player who might worth paying close attention to…

MOST DISAPPOINTING PLAYER

Today’s was…

OMARI SPELLMAN

He shot 23% from the field on 13 shots…. was 1 for 6 from beyond the arc….also added 3 turnovers and a +/- of MINUS 11.

Liked his game at the college level but it’s be disappointing over the first year +…. come on Omari!
