It’s the off-season for the 2020 NFL calendar year. Optic has been making its way around the hobby and so far looks great! I like the retail parallels especially this year. With Optic being so late it has still given football some hobby focus, however, now is not a good time to be selling. In turn, I feel there are some great buying opportunities I want to give you with this article. I have 10 guys across the 3 main positions that I want to highlight who I feel are undervalued and/or in the mix for a big year in 2021. KYLER MURRAY – QB – Arizona Cardinals

Kyler came into 2020 as a top 5 value among RC QBs. Some of it was baked in with his first Prizm RCs graded hitting the market. However, he has since then dropped by nearly 40% from his high. There is some growing concern with his durability to play the way he plays consistently as a runner with his small size. That was amplified this year as he did suffer an injury that kept Arizona out of the playoffs. Kyler has still shown elite athleticism with the ability to make impressive throws from the pocket. Unlike Lamar Jackosn, Kyler can still be an effective QB without his legs. To see Kyler’s prizm RC price around half of what Lamar is going for and slightly under Jalen Hurts first PSA 10 sales (inflated) I am happily buying Kyler right now. One last thing to consider, he is in a difficult division but the rumors of Russell Wilson potentially being traded could make him the top QB in the division quickly.

DJ CHARK – WR – Jacksonville Jaguars

I have been bullish on Jags receivers with Jacksonville winning the number 1 overall pick in the 2021 draft. Chark has shown WR1 upside and production even with the rotating below average QBs the Jaguars have used. In 2019 when they had somewhat normal QB play he had a 1000 yard season. Last year with the rotational QB approach, he did not see the same production. DJ Chark is a deceptive 6’4 and is in for a 1000+ yard season in 2021 with Trevor Lawrence at the helm. He is cheap to buy in 2018 NFL Prizm, little risk here in which you can see some nice gains.

JONATHAN TAYLOR – RB – Indianapolis Colts

Taylor started the first 9 games of his career with just over 400 yards rushing. He then missed a game due to COVID protocols and closed out the year with 700 yards in 5 games. The offense started to click for him and he was outright scary, proving so with his final game of 253 yards rushing in a must-win for the Colts to make the playoffs. The Colts added Carson Wentz who should give them some more output from the QB position. I firmly believe Taylor can reach 2000 yards rushing in 2021. With the OL and players the Colts have around him on offense that goal is very attainable.

MICHAEL PITTMAN JR – WR – Indianapolis Colts

Pittman flashed some skills and production last year. As TY Hilton starts to fade and be secondary WR at best, the Colts will look to Pittman to take the WR1 duties. He is very strong with the ball in his hands and excels at crossing routes and getting the ball with room to work. The colts have used him in a variety of ways to get him involved with end-around and short crosses. I believe the addition of Wentz can help him stretch the field more than he could last year with Rivers. Totaling 500 yards in 13 games as an RC receiver is an impressive start to his NFL career, look for him to build on that in 2021.

SAQUON BARKLEY – RB – New York Giants

Barkley is not cheap and plays in a very vulnerable position. Barkley Prizm PSA 10 RC is currently going for $210. But, seeing where Michael Thomas was last off-season going for $350 for his Prizm RC and the market still climbing, $210 is cheap for a generational talent. Barkley is the type of player that could easily surpass 2000 total yards and even come close to 3000 if everything clicks. In either case, if he can surpass 2000 all-purpose yards and 15+ Tds he is easily a $400 RC card. Definitely more risk here, but finally seeing what Barkley can do is what I am hoping for.

JK DOBBINS – RB – Baltimore Ravens

Baltimore is going to be a run-first team for years to come, especially while Lamar Jackson is running as much as he does. Dobbins established himself as the most talented back as the season progressed and I look for him to get the lion’s share of the workload next year. Dobbins never had more than 15 carries and was still close to 1000 all-purpose yards, if he can get a full workload in 2021 I am excited to see how valuable of a Fantasy player he can be. His base Prizm RC is going less than $10 and his Optic Holo sold for $14! Little risk here with the upside of a Top 5 back.

CAM AKERS – RB – Los Angeles Rams

Akers is my 3rd 2020 NFL Prizm Rc to go after. He had a slow start to 2020 with LA splitting carries and missing time with an injury. Akers had 18 or more carries in 5 of 6 games down the stretch. The Rams are built to win now and I don’t see them being cautious with Akers workload next year. They ran Gurley into the ground until his knee couldn’t hold up any more, I can see a similar Gurley-like workload for Akers in 2021, which means a lot of TDs and usage. Akers is being valued more than Dobbins but still has room to grow from his $12 raw Prizm RC and $100 PSA 10 Mosaic RC.

SAM DARNOLD – QB – New York Jets

Now I am going to start this by saying I am not convinced Darnold is good there is little evidence supporting that. I think the Jets are making the right decision (presumably) to build the team besides the QB position at pick #2. The Jets are in a great position to trade out and acquire more picks so they build this team through the draft. This can give Darnold his first shot to succeed that he has had with the Jets. It allows the Jets to give their top pick one more chance and if it doesn’t work out they have a better team in place for the next Qb they decide to go with. Either way, Darnold is currently at $140 for his Prizm PSA 10 Rc. Last year Dwayne Haskins was hitting $300 for his Prizm Silver RC Preseason. Darnold is cheap and if things do click with him, huge upside in his card values.

BAKER MAYFIELD – QB – Cleveland Browns

In three years Baker is already at 11,000+ yards passing and 75 touchdowns. While in today’s game that is not high end it is still productive. The big thing to me is the Browns getting that playoff win and doing so over Pittsburgh. I do believe that was a huge step for the Browns franchise that Baker made happen. The Browns have a solid OL and running game in which Baker will never have to do it all, but I still think he has the passing ability to have a better year statistically than he has had. I honestly don’t see Baker as a Top 10 Quarterback statistically anytime soon, I just think at $280 for PSA 10 Prizm RC he is severely underpriced.

Similar to Chark, DJ Moore has been hindered by limiting QB play. Two years ago, Cam Newton with his hurt shoulder, and this year Teddy Bridgewater’s inability to hit the deep ball. With that struggle, DJ Moore has still been one of the better statistical WRs in the league. If Carolina can draft a QB like Mac Jones or someone who can maximize DJ Moore’s talent, watch out. He has a Stefon Diggs type ability if he can get the right QB as Diggs did in 2020.
